We are happy to sit down with you and design a safe, accurate and fun course for your event. For any road running performance to be accepted as a record or be nationally ranked, it must be run on a USATF-certified course...Most runners like to compare performances run on different courses, and such comparisons are difficult if course distances are not reliable. No one can truly establish a personal best if the course distance is not accurate. We are certified measurers using the same strict USATF standards that guide national and international level road races. As part of our course design management, we will also provide a course map with link to an online map. Example Map
Each course has its own needs when it comes to making it safe and easy to follow for the participants. Some road courses are completely closed to vehicular traffic, others allow vehicles while keeping runners to the shoulder of the road, other courses aren't on roads at all. At BRRM, we have the signs, markings, and cones that are needed to make a course safe. For those courses that require complete road closures, we can use rental barricades from some of our Partners to ensure the safest route possible.
With the importance of participant safety at the forefront of today's events, BRRM is able to coordinate and plan for the amount and types of security available to you in order to make your event the safest it can be. Whether its an event in an urban setting with 15,000 participants or a rural 5K with 300, we are able to inform you of the municipality guidelines the event resides in and determine the course's needs, develop a strategic security plan and make sure the course is clear and secure on race day. We'll even book the security through our partners for you.

We take pride in the ability to manage first class events, and that title lives and dies with the volunteers and their actions in preparation to the event and on event day. To that end, we will provide extensive training and notes to volunteer captains or coordinators (who will then pass on the information to their volunteers) or are happy to meet with volunteer groups the morning of the event or at a pre-event reception to go over the responsibilities with each individual. See a sample of volunteer descriptions here and find detailed, elaborate descriptions and positions available in our Race Director Packet.
